The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Small Business and Land have pledged close collaboration in a bid to help micro enterprises and SMEs prosper.

The small business sector was only recently included in the portfolio of Parliamentary Secretary Jason Azzopardi, who paid a visit to the chamber at the Exchange Buildings in Republic Street, Valletta, yesterday afternoon.

Chamber president, Helga Ellul, said that apart from being the motor of the economy, micro and SME companies also form the backbone of membership of the chamber.

Ms Ellul explained to Dr Azzopardi: “SMEs are dynamic, but they are also vulnerable and need continuous guidance and assistance. This is where your office, the chamber and other business entities play a central role – to help SMEs prosper and grow.”  She added that [...]
