Malta and Jersey sign double taxation agreement

The agreement was signed by Maltese High Commissioner Joseph Zammit Tabona and Chief Minister Terry Le Sueur. The signing ceremony took place at the Malta High Commission, London. Mr Zammit Tabona said the agreement was instrumental for trade relations to be strengthened further. He added that trade delegations could be organised to enhance trade relations. Chief Minister Le Sueur pledged his support with the implementation of the agreement.
Foreign Minister Tonio Borg said this was the 16th double taxation agreement signed during the past 22 months. This was a concrete example of the efforts being undertaken by the government to attract foreign direct investment and to boost further investment by the Maltese business community.
